Sealed in between the inner and outer films is a proprietary, biodegradable and/or recyclable, absorbent pad that is made from, purified, flocked, cotton.

The inner thermal-protective pad:

• provides R-4 per inch insulation;
• provides cushioning protection;
• contains cotton fibers for the absorption of condensate from gel packs and payload leakage from liquid payloads; and
• the cotton fibers also help prevent cross-contamination in case of liquid payload leakage from liquids such as blood, etc.

The Thermopod® Mailer has two closure seals at the top, one is an inner, re-closable seal for easy access to the payload area and one is a destruct-seal, on the outer, closing-flap to ensure safety and to prevent tampering. 

The Thermopod® Mailer provides cost savings through:

• reduced inbound freight charges;
• reduced warehouse space and storage charges;
• reduced shrink since the mailers do not chip or crack;
• reduced fulfillment costs because of it's one-piece construction.

The Thermopod® Mailer may be used as a stand-alone temperature-control shipper or it may be used as an internal package that maintains a prescribed cold temperature in a larger non-refrigerated container. Thus, instead of one truck for non-refrigerated shipping and one truck for refrigerated shipping, only one non-refrigerated truck is required. 

All Thermopod® Mailers allow next day shipping. Premium Thermopod® Mailers can maintain required temperatures of 2-8 degrees centigrade, or 0 degrees centigrade, for more than 48 hours.

Note: Ask about ways to get even longer durations of time. As with the Thermopod® Mailer, the refrigerants used in the mailer are also recyclable and/or biodegradable so that the entire shipping system is, at once, cost effective, environmentally friendly and socially responsible. 

For convenience, and to provide extra protection and insulation, we have sized our small, medium and large mailers to fit each of the delivery service's boxes: 

• Small - 13 x 11 x 2 ;
• Medium -15 x 11 x 3 ;
• Large - 18 x 13 x 3 

The Thermopod® Mailer can be made virtually any size and further customized as to printing, logos, colors, etc.

For customized Thermopod® Mailers there is a one-time setup charge. Normal delivery time is ten days to two weeks. Pricing is determined by size and volume. All prices are FOB unless otherwise requested.
